How to Use a Pendulum
(Dowsing/Radiesthesia)
Pendulums can be made of any type of material. Some people use keys (cleidomancy), some people use rings (dactylomancy), and some people use stones. Even a needle and thread can be used. With your dominant hand, hold the string of the pendulum with your thumb and forefinger and let the pendulum hang down.

Pendulums are often used to identify the sex of a baby. If it's a boy, the pendulum will swing back and forth. If it's a girl, the pendulum will swing in a circle. And some people are taught just the opposite. The same goes for "yes" and "no" questions. I believe it's whatever you assign to the pendulum. If you know in your mind and heart that when the pendulum swings in a circle you will get that new job, that that's what the pendulum means. You are empowering the crystal/pendulum that swinging in a circle means "yes".

You can also use a pendulum with a ouija board type of device. Make an alphabet board, and use the pendulum over it. Close your eyes and let a friend write what letters are spelled out.

If you purchase or own a crystal pendulum, you can cleanse it just like you would any other crystal. Traditionally, you would soak it in salt water under a full moon.
